Sooke Vacation Information
Sooke, BC is located on the south western tip of Vancouver Island in British
Columbia, Canada, just a scenic half hour drive from Victoria.
Sooke is a lovely tourist destination, well-known for attractions such as the
Sooke Harbour House, Whiffin Spit Park, Sooke Potholes Regional Park and adjacent
Sooke Potholes Provincial Park which all attract visitors from around the world.
Sooke boasts fabulous accommodations, restaurants, galleries and shops, as
well as provincial parks, unspoiled rainforests and tranquil beaches.
Vancouver Island's famous wilderness parks are nearby, and Sooke makes the
perfect base for visitors to the West Coast Trail, Juan de Fuca Provincial Park
and the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail.
The Galloping Goose Regional Trail, part of the Trans-Canada Trail, runs through
Sooke and is a popular cycling route to Victoria.
Salt water fishing, fresh water fishing, whale watching, ocean kayaking, scuba
dining, surfing, golfing and boating are outdoor recreational opportunities
that can be enjoyed year round on Vancouver Island.
